RQA Educational Program

The Office of Research Quality Assurance (RQA) offers a research quality training program for those involved in human subject research, including Principal Investigators, Research Nurses, Clinical Coordinators, and Study Team members. An annual completion of the training is recommended.

The program aims to enhance research compliance knowledge and awareness among University of Miami employees, fostering a skilled, compliant, and integrity-driven team. It covers key research compliance concepts through topic-specific, Zoom-based webinars held during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Topics include:

Informed Consent Compliance
Adverse Event Documentation & Reporting
Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)
and many more!

CEUs & Registration

Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Credits

CEUs can be earned for attending RQA’s presentations, which may be retaken on an annual basis. These CEUs may be used for certification renewals with professional organizations such as ACRP, SOCRA and others.

Registered participants who attend at least 80% of each scheduled presentation (as determined by Zoom attendance reporting) can download & print a CEU certificate from ULearn following each class.

The schedule for these offerings is published in the OVPRS Newsletter at the beginning of each semester, and prior registration via ULearn is required.
